Using keywords to help people find you
Clients search for translators by putting a specific query that fits their needs (e.g. freelance translator) into the search bar. Some queries are more commonly used than others, and this is what we call keywords.

Use keywords in your profile. It’s a great way to stand out in search results, because you’re targeting the lingo the clients are using. For example, a Spanish to English translator will probably pop up much sooner than ES-EN Wordsmith.
Choose keywords you want to be known for. Another way to boost your specialization is by choosing the keywords that best reflect the work you want to do. If you’re, say, a bigger poetry translation buff than a novel-translating one, poetry translation is the keyword for you.
